Free plan caps total processed maps at 5 so you can try every workflow — active, archive, version. Paid plans break out active and archived separately so you can scale both. Active maps are live and queryable by your apps and count against your active map area. Archived maps are snapshots set aside — preserved for rollback or future reactivation, not localizable until restored. Versioned maps are new revisions of an existing map (e.g., after a space change); the previous version is auto-retained for rollback. On Free, all three share a single 5-map ceiling. On Lite and above, active and archived have separate limits.

A VPS API call is a cloud localization request that returns a 6-DoF pose against one of your maps. Local 6-DoF tracking after a successful localization doesn't consume calls — only cloud lookups do.
